Sharon Rogers joined the Brazosport College Board of Regents in September 2001. 

 
Current Civic and Professional Participation

Sharon is an active volunteer in the Brazosport Community. She is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Regents at Brazosport College and a former board member of The Brazosport College Foundation. She is a board member, Brazos Historical Society, 100 Club of Brazoria County, and the EPD, Inc. Advisory Board.  She is a member of Community Foundation's Women Building Community and was named Community Foundation Philanthropist of the Year in 2013.  Sharon was named the Brazosport Area Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Woman of the Year in 2013 and was honored by the City of Freeport's Women of Distinction Award in 2014.

Sharon is a former member of the Brazosport Health Foundation Cornerstone of Caring Capital Campaign Steering Team. She is a former member of the Brazosport Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman's Circle. She is past vice president, Brazosport Regional Health System Board of Trustees, past president of the Brazoria County Historical Museum Board of Directors where she was awarded the Stephen F. Austin Leadership Award in 2011.  She is a past president, Habitat for Humanity of Southern Brazoria County Board of Directors, past member of the Executive Board of the Brazoria County United Way, past director of the Brazosport Chamber of Commerce where she was a member of the first Leadership Brazosport class and named an Outstanding Volunteer.  She is a past board member of the Brazoria County Youth Home.  Sharon is also a Paul Harris Fellow of the Brazosport Rotary Club.


Past and Present Work History
Sharon is the former Manager of Community & Government Affairs at BASF Corporation. She retired in 2008 after 40 years with BASF. She held various management positions within Human Resources as well as Community Relations and Government Affairs.      

Personal Biography
A native Texan, Sharon attended Brazosport High School, Wharton County Junior College and Brazosport College. She and her husband, Speedy, live in Lake Jackson and both enjoy traveling. ​
