Building a Collaborative Relationaship With Your Peers
Supervisors and Managers, Team Leaders, Team Members, Individual Contributors

A relationship with peers requires special attention. Taking the initiative to build collaborative relationships "sideways" on the organization chart is a key component to your success no matter what position you hold.

  • Understand the impact that maintaining constructive, collaborative relationships with peers has on the participant’s own ability to do his or her job successfully.
  • Work with a peer to head off a potential conflict of goals, duplication of effort, or waste of resources.
  • Build a climate for gaining support from a peer.
