Massage Therapy Program
Students must register in person for this program.
(driver’s license required)
 
The Brazosport College Massage Therapy Program is designed to be completed in 12 months, beginning in January and ending in December. Registration begins in the fall (August) for the program beginning the following January. You will find program costs in the Fall Community Education schedule.
 
The program follows the State of Texas 500-hour curriculum and meets all state guidelines. Brazosport College has a dedicated classroom and clinic for this program.
 
Attendance in a free information sessions is required prior to registration and will provide participants with detailed information about the program, financial aid and payment options, state licensing and more.

State of Texas 500-hour Massage Therapy Curriculum components include:
 
Part I:       MSSG1013A     Anatomy & Physiology                                  75 hours                              
                MSSG2013A     Kinesiology                                                    50 hours
                MSSG1007A     Business Practices & Professional Ethics    45 hours
                MSSG1005A     Hydrotherapy / Therapeutic Modalities         20 hours
                MSSG1109A     Health and Hygiene                                       20 hours
                MSSG2014A     Pathology                                                      40 hours
                MSSG1011A     Massage Fundamentals I                              125 hours
                MSSG2011A     Massage Fundamentals II                              75 hours
                         
Part II:     Internship                                                                                  50 hours
 
To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements:
                  18 years of age
                  Must provide proof of High school diploma or GED certificate
                  Satisfactory criminal history background check (as per 25 Texas Administrative Code,
                   Chapter 141, Subchapter E, Rule 141.37; and Subchapter G, Rule 141.66); copy of TXDL
                  Attend a Program Information Session
