Meet Our Chef
Patrick Kersey, Chef Kitchen Community
Howdy, my name is Patrick Kersey and I am The Children’s Center Chef. Upon graduating Brazoswood high school in 2001 I attended Brazosport College and obtained an Associate of Art emphasis in business. Later I achieved Eagle Scout, as well as working at The Children’s Center part time. I then attended Texas Culinary Academy and graduated with honors in the Le Cordon Bleu program with an Associate of Arts of applied science in culinary arts in 2008. I then worked at Moody Gardens and Shearn’s fine dining restaurant for my three month externship prior to graduation. I then assisted in developing the dessert menu at The Grape Taste here in Lake Jackson, Texas. Further out in the timeline I was blessed with the love of my life Lauren D Kersey on December 20th, 2008. Next I worked at Talk About Good Restaurant and Catering for a year and then I was blessed with this full time position at The Children’s Center where I work presently. Some of my hobbies include, working on my 1987 Porsche 944 coupe, playing trumpet/coronet for the kids during community awareness week, camping when I have time, reading the bible, coming up with new and interesting meals, spending time with my wife, and hanging out with my two nieces and nephew.
