All-State Etude Saxophone Master Class

Looking to bump up your level of artistry for this year's Region/All-State saxophone tryouts
Please join Brazosport College's Adjunct Saxophone Instructor David Box in a comprehensive approach for tryout preparation. Mr. Box has been playing these etudes daily for over 20 years and has unique insight into what the etudes mean for saxophonists. Please encourage your young musicians to take advantage of this rare opportunity!

Each evening will cover detailed information concerning the performance practice and techniques every saxophonist needs for a successful audition. Learn what it takes to be successful. (The 2013-2014 All-State Bands and Orchestra included 4 of Mr. Box's students from throughout Texas!)

No audition required and all students will receive an opportunity to play on the last meeting in a traditional master class setting.
Cost is $15 per session to take all four sessions for $50.
Each session is from 7 to 8 p.m. and will be in the band hall at The Clarion.
Tuesday, August 12 - Etude 1
Thursday, August 14 - Etude 2
Tuesday, August 19 - Etude 3
Thursday, August 21 - Audition strategies/techniques; Perform for peers.
Students, private lesson teachers, and band directors are all welcome!
