Tom’s Fun Band returns to the Clarion on Wednesday

The Clarion at Brazosport College’s popular Summer Matinee Series continues at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon with a show by one of the series’ perennial favorites, Tom’s Fun Band.

Tom's Fun Band is a fun and interactive musical group that provides entertainment for children ages 2 through 8. This group consists of acoustic guitar, ukulele, bass and drums, and features the original songs of group founder, Tom Wilbeck.

Tom’s Fun Band was born when Wilbeck decided to start writing children’s music for his twins. Today, Tom’s Fun Band can be seen at festivals, schools, libraries, fundraisers, parties, museums and anywhere positive, family music is needed.

The show is the second performance of this year’s Summer Matinee Series, which consists of six shows aimed at children, running at 1:30 p.m. every Wednesday through August 2, except July 5.

Upcoming shows also include ecological performer and magician Steve Trash on July 12, puppeteer Jean Kuecher on July 19, illusionist C. J. Johnson on July 26, and children’s songwriter and entertainer Jamie Shaheen on Aug. 2.

Call the Clarion Box Office at (979) 230-3156 to make reservations for your group. All programs are recommended for children ages 4 through 14 years old. The Clarion at Brazosport College is located at 500 College Drive in Lake Jackson and can be reached by call (979) 230-3156 or visiting clarion.brazosport.edu.
