Intended Audience Managers and supervisors who want to develop an ongoing process for maximizing employees' potential
Description

Helping employees examine their own performance in either formal or informal discussions is a valuable skill for supervisors and managers who want to tap employees' motivation to succeed. This course provides suggestions for generating employees' commitment to improving results and for mutually planning and carrying out ways to work smarter. Developing good coaching skills will enable an individual to get more done with the same or fewer resources. Specific course material includes:

  • Describing participant’s role in motivating employees to reach optimal performance
  • Determining when it is appropriate to coach employees versus when it is appropriate to take corrective action.
  • Identifying opportunities for coaching employees
  • Planning for a coaching session with an employee
