A general introduction to critical and reflective thinking as applied to the basic problems of existence and the meaning of human life and institutions; study of methods and types of evidence utilized by authority, intuition, revelation, reason and scientific methods, and a study of the nature of philosophy, including its relations to religion, science, and art. (3 SCH, 3 lecture, 0 lab)
