 Counseling and Testing

We are pleased that you have chosen Brazosport College as your college of choice.  Our staff is dedicated to enhancing student success through counseling and advisement.  Whether you are right out of high school or returning to school to learn new skills or enhance present skills, we offer many services that will make attending Brazosport College a pleasant and enriching experience.

Upon entering Brazosport College, new students are required to take the Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA), or an equivalent test, or meet an exemption or waiver option.  At Brazosport College, the COMPASS test is the approved alternate test for the THEA.  To learn more about testing and assessment, contact the Testing Center at (979) 230-3647.

Career Services are available to students in the areas of Career Decision Making, Job Search Skills, Student Worker applications and a listing of local jobs. The Career Center is located in E-110. In our Career Center you can find Transfer information, Job Search resources, and a computer lab that is open to students. For more information about the Career Center phone (979) 230-3429.

To assist students in acheiving their goals, academic adivisors are available to help students with their degree plans.  With a plan in place, students are more likely to acheive their goals.  Our counselors and advisors are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and are eager to assist you in your quest for excellence.

The Counseling Department is located in the E-wing.
We are open from 8am to 6:30pm during long semesters, and until 6pm in the summer.
