 Biography

Clifford C. O'Neal, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Biology

I am originally from Houston, but I have lived in the Lake Jackson area for the past two years.  Prior to arriving at Brazosport College, I attended Texas A&M University at Galveston where I received a B.S. in Marine Biology.  I then moved to Baton Rouge, LA where received my M.S. in Fisheries from Louisiana State University.  After I received my degree from LSU, I decided to trade in the hot, humid weather and an established population of mosquitos for the cooler weather of the midwest.  It was during this time that I attended Southern Illinois University and received my Ph.D. in Zoology.

After realizing that snow and ice were no better than the heat, humidity, and the loving embrace of mosquito swarms, I decided to move back to Texas.  Upon returning to Texas, I began employment with the Texas Parks and Wildlife department as a Fisheries Biologist.   I worked in this capacity for a little over two years at which time I realized that I wanted to fulfill a lifetime goal to teach and to help students learn.

In addition to being an instructor here at Brazosport College, I am also an adjunct faculty member at Texas A&M University at Galveston.
