Karen Rowland, RN, CEN, MSN
Assistant Professor of Nursing
Karen Hasie Rowland is a former student of Brazosport College, and a graduate of the previous Brazosport/ Galveston College Associate Degree in Nursing program. She has more than 20 years of nursing experience, mostly in the field of emergency nursing. Karen returned to school as a “mature” student, and earned first her BSN in 2008, then her MSN in 2011.
Karen and her family are long term Lake Jackson residents, having moved to the area in 1984 as DOW transplants. She and her husband have three children and one brand new grandson. The family enjoys traveling and tries to visit a new location each year.
Karen views learning as a continuous lifelong opportunity for self enrichment and growth. She considers the opportunity to teach the science and art of nursing a privilege and is honored to be a part of the nursing program at Brazosport College.
