Helping students improve their reading and writing skills is my goal. Every other field of human endeavor relies heavily or in some part on reading and writing, so this course will be one of the most important courses any student will ever take. Not that reading or writing are ever finished, because they are never without room for further improvement. However, a good solid grounding in the art and science of reading and writing is absolutely essential.

I wrote for the Angleton Times and published hundreds of articles over an eleven year period. My Masters thesis, a work of original fiction entitled, "The Book of the Turtle of Redwood and Silver Stars Skygarden," was published by the library at the University of Houston at Clear Lake
