 Important Update

Recently approved changes in eligibility requirements for financial aid have been extended to high school students.  Students enrolling in the Dual Credit Program can apply for aid through the Financial Aid Office at Brazosport College.

Students must meet FAFSA eligibility requirements to receive Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG) money for tuition, fees, and textbooks.  Students may receive a maximum of $200.00 for each semester they are enrolled in dual credit college courses.  Students must enroll in at least three (3) college credit hours each semester they request aid.

Grants are available to students on a first come, first served basis. All necessary paperwork must be complete and processed prior to registration.  Review the financial aid calendar for dates and deadlines before applying for a TPEG.

Contact the Financial Aid Office at Brazosport College for assistance with the financial aid application process.

 TPEG PROCESS

Step 1

See your high school counselor, and then see a Brazosport College counselor to register for a minimum of 3 college credit hours (one class).

Step 2

Go to the FAFSA website and apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN).  You will need to apply for yourself and one parent.  Have your PIN sent to your email address.

Step 3

After receiving your PIN in your email, return to the FAFSA website, complete and submit the FAFSA.

Step 4

After receiving a Student Aid Report (SAR) from the Department of Education, go to the Brazosport College Financial Aid office to complete necessary forms.
