Scholarships are available to present and prospective students of Brazosport College. The Financial Aid Committee selects recipients for these scholarships.
To qualify for a scholarship, students typically must be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours) and maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average. Contact the Financial Aid Office to obtain information on available scholarships, eligibility requirements, and applications.
WISE Scholarship Program Requirements:
- Students must have graduated in the upper 50% of their 2008 graduating class.
- Students must show proof of residency in the service area for 1 year prior to first time enrollment at Brazosport College.
- Students must provide a letter of recommendation from a non-family member.
- Awards are for 1 year of college (2 long semesters of college work)
- Students must maintain a 3.0 or ‘B’ average to receive the scholarship the following semester.
- For 2008-2009, the amount of the scholarship is $1,000.
- Students must return the WISE scholarship application, with at least one letter of recommendation, to the Financial Aid Office at Brazosport College. The college financial aid committee will select students for WISE Scholarships.
- A WISE Scholarship may be adjusted when the recipient's total scholarships exceed the cost of attendance for one year.
