 Tips for Success

The PRIORITY deadline for FALL 2012 is June 1, 2012. Financial Aid applications for grants, loans, and scholarships are processed year around. Students meeting the priority deadline (complete financial aid file including FAFSA and other required documents), are guaranteed knowledge of their financial aid status and award amount before the payment deadline. Students completing their file after the priority deadline should prepare to make necessary payment arrangements for their courses. A payment plan is available through myBC during the Fall and Spring semesters only.
To be eligible for financial assistance, a student must:

  • be accepted for enrollment or currently enrolled in good standing
  • not be in default on any student loan
  • not owe funds back received at Brazosport College or any other institution
  • meet Brazosport College's Satisfactory Academic Policy
  • present tuition statement when using a waiver such as Hazlewood or Legacy each semester.
  • present schedule if student is on 'REVIEW' before the review hold will be lifted and funds made available.
