The LAC is located on the second floor (E-201) above the Admissions and Student Services Offices. The LAC is a study area NO cells phones or young children are allowed. Please SIGN IN at the front desk when visiting the LAC.

Computer Lab
No BC Network account (BCNET) required. Most campus software available. Two computers have scanners. Headphones are available at the desk (id required). Pinting charges: $0.10 per page black & white, $0.25 per page color.

It is very important that students come by the LAC or call 230-3253 to schedule an appointment since only 14 students are scheduled at a time. A Brazosport College Photo I.D. is required before being permitted to take a test. Contract testing for other schools. Link here for more information.
Audio/Visual Tapes and CDs
Students may use audio/visual tapes or CDs that instructors reserve for course support. These materials are used in the audio/visual area and may not be removed from the LAC. Students must have a Brazosport College Photo ID.
Tutoring
Tutor for the Transitional Education Program is provided in the LAC. While the Learning Frameworks course provides you with valuable skills to succeed in college, sometimes you may need course-specific help. The tutoring center at Brazosport College boasts a full staff of tutors who offer specialized assistance in a variety of classes -- Math, Writing, Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, Spanish, and some Computer Science. Math tutors are available for drop-in assistance Monday-Thursday. For all other subjects, appointments can be made by stopping by the LAC or by calling 230-3253.

Information on Study Skills and Study Skill seminars is avaIble in the LAC.
Instructional Technology Assistance
The LAC staff is avialable to provide some technology support, particulary for distance learning. Computer specific questions are referred to the IT helpdesk, 230-3266, email.
