Brazosport College Library Hours:

Monday - Thursday  7:30am - 9:30pm
Friday 7:30am - noon

MyBC cards:

All those using the library must show a valid MyBC Card when checking out books. MyBC Cards will be made in the library, see the Circulation Desk for details. The MyBC Card will be updated each semester enrolled at Brazosport College. If the MyBC Card is lost, stolen or damaged beyond use there will be a $20.00 replacement fee. Library users from the community may secure a non-student library card at the circulation desk, there is a $5.00 per year fee for a non-student library card.
The borrower will be held responsible for all library materials checked out under his or her card.

Library Books:

Students are normally limited to six books checked out at any one time. There are some exceptions for students enrolled in Honors courses.
Non-students, continuing education students, as well as Texshare Card students from other colleges will be limited to two books at any one time.

All users of the library are subject to fines. Fines are $0.25 per day for each regular 2-week check out item not returned on time. Fines are $0.50 per day on rental books. Fines for 3-day, 1-week, and overnight items are $3.00 per day.

Fines shall accumulate to a maximum of $10.00 for regular items and $40.00 for reserve items, until the material is returned or reported lost. Fines on library materials continue to accrue when the library is open, even if classes are not being held.

Library Consortia:

Library staff members may also help students secure a library card through existing state or area consortia providing circulation privileges at other state colleges.

Interlibrary Loans:

Library staff members will assist faculty, staff and students in acquiring interlibrary loan materials needed in support of the educational program. Non-students are not eligible for interlibrary loans.

Read the attached interlibrary loan policy for borrower responsibilities, borrowing limitations and procedures for placing a request.
Interlibrary loan requests can be submitted online. Please read policy prior to submitting a request.
