About the Quick THEA

The Quick THEA (Texas Higher Education Assessment) is an official THEA Texas Higher Education Assessment) Test and may be used for testing all THEA-liable students, including re-takers. Students may take the Quick THEA (Texas Higher Education Assessment) only one time each 30 days.  However, students may take another form of THEA (Texas Higher Education Assessment) during that same period, such as the regularly scheduled THEA (Texas Higher Education Assessment) Test.

FOR QUICK THEA, STUDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED 5 HOURS TO TAKE ANY OR ALL SECTIONS OF THE TEST.  They will also complete a registration form on the day they take the test.

Students are strongly advised to review the THEA (Texas Higher Education Assessment) Test Registration Bulletin for additional information.  Study materials are available at the Brazosport College Bookstore, library and an official practice test is also available at the Brazosport College website;  www.brazosport.edu.  For scheduling information; see the Brazosport College calendar for dates, times, etc., or please call 230-3040, 230-3647 or 230-3237. 

     CHECKLIST:  WHAT TO TAKE TO THE TEST CENTER

  • Check or money order (payable to N.E.S.) for $29 registration fee, Visa or  MasterCard accepted (no debit)
  • NO CASH
  • Several No. 2 pencils with erasers; and
  • Two pieces of identification, one must be with a recent photograph and your name, the second, with only your name.
  • Standard four-function, nonprogrammable calculators (with square root and percent keys) only.
  • NO ONE ADMITTED AFTER 8:45 AM.
