Upon entering Brazosport College, new students are required to take the Compass test, or meet an exemption or waiver option.
The test assesses your skill level in English, mathematics, and reading. It is not an admission test, but is simply an assessment tool to help place you in the right classes. To learn more about testing and assessment, contact the Testing Center at 979-230-3647 or visit our Assessment Center (room E-130).
The Testing Center also administers interest inventories, skill surveys, aptitude assessments, work values surveys, and a personality type indicator for students desiring self-knowledge.
While Brazosport College no longer administers the Quick THEA, we do offer the Regular THEA in February and June as a service for students that may need to take the THEA test. In order to register for the Regular THEA please go to the following website http://www.thea.nesinc.com/.
NO cell phones, tablets, or any other electronic devices are allowed in the testing room. Brazosport College is NOT responsible for theft, loss, or damage of any personal property.
Brazosport College Testing Center adheres to the standards and guidelines set forth by The National College Testing Association.
