Brazosport College offers the following College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams for credit by examination which is a national standardized exam. There is a $15 local administration fee in addition to a $77 CLEP exam fee payable to CLEP for the following exams:

A Minimum of 6 semester credit hours must be earned at Brazosport College before credit will be posted to the student's transcript. A maximum of 24 hours may be earned through any combination of CLEP, Credit by Exam or Advanced Placement tests.
*A minimum score of 50 is required in order to be awarded a grade of "P" (pass).
(Note: The CLEP examination may not be repeated within six months of the test date.)
**Students taking the English CLEP subject examination are also required to
complete a local departmental essay.

To apply for CLEP, a student must complete a Brazosport College Credit by Examination Petition in the Counseling and Testing Assessment Center-Room E131 or visit with any of the Counselors in the Counseling and Testing department at the Brazosport College.
