Grant News
Twice a month, the Grant Administration Office publishes a newsletter containing information about the latest in grant-related news.  Brazosport College personnel may access the GRANT NEWS archives by going to My Computer, J:Drive (employee), under the Grant News folder.

Each issue contains information related to:

• Federal Grants - Provides links to federal program announcements published in the Federal Register.

• Other Grant Opportunities - Provides information regarding current and upcoming corporate and foundation grant competitions.

• Proposal Development - Provides short introductions to published articles with related links.

• Program Development & Ideas - Highlights published reports of best practices and innovative program ideas.

• Grant-Related News - Features clips of recent grant awards to postsecondary institutions.

• Professional Development - Lists upcoming web presentations related to higher educational issues and programs.

• Congratulations! - Highlights the submission of proposals and the acquisition of grant contracts by BC faculty and staff.

• Education News - Short & Simple - Provides short briefs regarding the latest education news.

• Education News - Offers summaries of published articles related to postsecondary education.

• Education Reports - Features summaries of the latest in published research reports related to postsecondary students and programs.

The Internet offers a wide variety of sites that provide both information and services to assist faculty and staff in their search for appropriate funding opportunities.

Online Database Searches
Brazosport College subscribes to the Foundation Search USA and BigOnline USA (located at http://www.bigdatabase.com/).  Although considerable general grant information is available at their website for free, funder database searches are restricted to paid subscribers (and requires a password).  The College subscription provides access to this fee-based service for two persons.  If you are interested in having a specific search conducted, please contact one of the following individuals:
