Rehearsals for the Brazosport Civic Chorus will resume after the summer break and a performance of Poulenc’s "Gloria," with the Brazosport Symphony Orchestra last spring.
The 2011-2012 season will begin with another collaboration with the BSO on patriotic pops concert season opener on October 8. The fall concert, with special guest, the Colombia High School Choir, John Richardson, director, will follow on October 22. The will finish the fall semester with a Holiday Concert on Dec. 1 with the Lake Jackson Intermediate School Honor Choir, David Hill, director.
The Brazosport Civic Chorus rehearses at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evenings in the choir room/recital hall inside the Clarion at Brazosport College. Rodney Mason, Director of Choral Activities at Brazosport College, serves as director. An audition is not required and singers on all voice parts are welcome and invited to join.
