The Brazosport College Foundation held its annual Scholarship Celebration recently at the Dow Academic Center on the campus of Brazosport College. The event is held each year to recognize scholarship recipients and donors.
Dwight Boykins of d Boykins Consulting Firm, LLC, was the keynote speaker with “Celebrating the Gift of Education” as the theme. TDECU Insurance Agency, LLC was the underwriter for the luncheon. Brazosport College Foundation Board member, Kristen Schwertner served as chairperson for the event.
The Sponsor a Scholar program, which was the focus of this year’s luncheon, is the newest scholarship program at Brazosport College and is currently providing funding for 12 students. A private reception was held immediately before the luncheon for Sponsor a Scholar donors and recipients.
