Brazosport College Associate Professor of English Brenda Dillard was one of only 25 professors from around the country selected to attend a summer workshop titled, “United by Water: Exploring American History Through the Shipwrecks and Maritime Landscapes of the Great Lakes.” At the two-week long workshop, which will be in Alpena, Mich., Dillard will study the archeology of shipwrecks and learn about the maritime industry during the nineteenth century. The workshop is sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
