Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP recently showed its support for Brazosport College by awarding a $2,750 scholarship to the BC Foundation. The funds will be awarded to full- and part-time students, or dual-credit high school students, preferably from Sweeny or Columbia-Brazoria ISD. Criteria for the scholarship include being enrolled in at least six credit hours in a workforce Associate Degree program that supports the petrochemical industry and maintaining at least a 2.75 GPA. Scholarship applications are available in the financial aid department of Brazosport College.
