Early registration for Brazosport College’s fall semester starts July 25; Online Priority Registration began July 21

 Billy Loveless, 7/21/2011

The start of a new semester at Brazosport College is almost here, and it’s never been easier to register for classes.

With fall registration beginning on Monday, July 25, students are encouraged to register and pay tuition and fees online from their own computers at their convenience.

Early registration at Brazosport College will run through Aug. 19. Tuition and fees also are due by Aug. 19. Late registration runs Aug. 22 through Aug. 26 with tuition and fees due the day of registration. A late registration fee will apply.

On-site registration also begins at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 25. Fall classes begin Monday, August 29.

Students registering online also have a head start toward getting their desired classes by using Brazosport College’s new Online Priority Registration, which will be open July 21 and 22 – four days before regular registration begins – and only available for those registering online.

Using the college’s information system, myBC, returning students only need their student ID or social security number and their pin number to access the system.

The system is open 24 hours every day and will remain open throughout fall registration. To access the system, follow the “registration” link from the Brazosport College homepage at www.brazosport.edu.

To be eligible for online registration, students must first:

• Be cleared by the admissions office or have been enrolled for at least one semester within the last year;

• Be eligible to self advise or have met with a college counselor and been cleared for online registration; and

• Have no holds on their record.

New students are not immediately eligible for online registration, but can start the registration process by applying at www.ApplyTexas.org. After the application process is completed, a college representative will contact prospective students with more information.

It’s not too late to apply for financial aid or grants. To start the process of applying for financial aid, if an application has not been completed this year, go to FASFA.ed.gov to apply. New applicants who are eligible for financial aid will most likely receive awards after classes begin. Contact the Financial Aid office for additional information at (979) 230-3377 or go to its page on the college’s Web site at www.brazosport.edu.
