Brazosport College is ringing in the holiday season in style with its annual Festival of Carols celebration. The Festival of Carols is two weekends of music, fun and activities, with all events on the college campus.

The festivities begin on Thursday with a visit from Santa and a performance by the Brazosport Choral Union and Lake Jackson Intermediate choirs, followed by the Celtic Tenors concert on Friday.

The celebration continues the next weekend with a concert by the BC Jazz Band on Thursday, Dec. 8, and a holiday show on Saturday, Dec. 10, featuring the Brazosport Symphony Orchestra, the Brazosport Young Peoples Chorus, and the sixth-grade choirs from Rasco and Clute Intermediate schools.

Thursday, Dec. 1
Campus Carols Family Activities
6:15-7:15 p.m. at the Clarion lobby and outside areas adjacent to The Clarion
Santa will join Brazosport College’s Student Life to provide activities and refreshments for the entire family.

Campus Carols
7:30 p.m. at the Clarion
The Brazosport Choral Union and choirs from Lake Jackson Intermediate will combine for an evening of fun and favorite holiday music that is sure to please both young and young at heart.  A reception, sponsored by Student Life, will follow the event.

Friday, Dec. 2
Celtic Tenors
7:30 p.m. at the Clarion
These internationally acclaimed, chart-topping recording artists will present some of the world’s greatest Christmas songs, wrapped in the inimitable Celtic Tenor sound. With a generous sprinkling of their warm, endearing humor, the Celtic Tenors will highlight the peace and joy of Christmas. 

Thursday, Dec. 8
“We Wish You Merry Finals”
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the BC Student Pavilion
To get you in the holiday spirit and to kick off finals week, the Brazosport College Jazz Band will provide a lunchtime concert featuring Christmas and holiday music. Student Life will provide pizza and drinks to add to the fun.

Saturday, Dec. 10
Holiday Concert
6 p.m. at the Clarion
The Brazosport Symphony Orchestra, the Brazosport Young People’s Chorus, and Rasco and Clute Intermediate’s sixth grade choir will provide a concert featuring holiday tunes. Tickets for the performance will be available for sale prior to the event and on the day of.
