Auditions for the 2011-2012 Brazosport College Jazz Singers  will be held August 1-3.

Jazz Singers is Brazosport College’s musical community outreach, performing at various functions throughout the year. Recognized nationally, the Jazz Singers have gained recognition with invitations by audition to perform at international and regional jazz conventions.

Along with the BC Jazz Band, they have recorded two CD’s and had the honor of working with the award winning “New York Voices.” This year, they are slated to work with the Grammy award-winning “Swingle Singers” in a clinic next spring.

Members of the Jazz Singers are selected by audition from the membership of the Brazosport College Chamber Choir. Auditions for the Chamber Choir are ongoing.
