Popular New York children’s play to perform two shows at The Clarion
Over the past five years, Pinkalicious, the Musical has delighted children and adults alike in New York City, as evidenced by weeks of sold-out shows and extended runs. Now, the popular play is ready to generate laughter and smiling faces in the Brazosport area.
The touring version of Pinkalicious, the Musical will present two shows at The Clarion at Brazosport College on Monday, Nov. 21. Showtimes are at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Morning show tickets are $5 for all ages, while the evening show is $15 for adults and $10 for children. The evening admission also includes a tea party at 5:30 p.m.
In Pinkalicious, the Musical, Pinkalicious is a girl with a problem. She’s so in love with the color pink that she put all the pink coloring in the cupcakes her mom was making. Then she couldn’t stop eating them. She ate so many that she came down with Pinkititis, a disease that turned her pink from head to toe.
At first, she’s thrilled, but she eventually realizes that a world without other colors isn’t that much fun. Based on their children’s book of the same name, Pinkalicious was adapted for the stage by sisters Elizabeth and Victoria Kann, who were assisted by composer and lyricist John Gregor. The show is clever, funny and teaches some lessons about temperance and family.
Pinkalicious is appropriate for children from 3 to 12. If you’re looking for something, fun to do with your family, dress them in a little pink and visit Pinkalicious. It has something for girls, boys and, best of all, parents.
