Apply for Financial Aid & Scholarships

To obtain  grants,  scholarships,  childcare assistance or loans, complete the links below and refer to Financial Aid Process. All financial aid is subject to eligibility thru the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy. Financial Aid funds are processed all year, however; our priority deadlines are as follows: (deadlines must be met to assure award before payment deadline) 

Fall - June 1

Spring - November 1
Spring II - February 1
Summer (all) - April 1

New for 2019-2020 FAFSA

Now you can fill out the 2019-2020 FAFSA on your phone. Download the myStudent.app or visit FAFSA.gov and complete the FAFSA on the go.

The 2019-2020 FAFSA uses the 2017 IRS Tax Return information.

Students who are unsuccessful with the IRS Data Retrieval Tool will need to log on to https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript and request a copy of their 2017 TAX RETURN TRANSCRIPT.

Note: After we receive a FAFSA, steps to complete your file will be posted on your myBC. A message is also sent to your BC email.


Grants are aid funds that do not have to be paid back by students who qualify and complete their courses. Grants are based on information required and entered in the 'Free Application for Federal Student Aid' (FAFSA). Apply at the banner below:

Book Scholarships are available for students needing funds to help purchase classroom books in the Brazosport College bookstore. Complete the form at the link and bring to our office during bookstore charging periods.

Students demonstrating financial need after completing the FAFSA and are pursuing a certificate or degree at Brazosport College are eligible to apply for assistance in paying for childcare while attending college classes. Childcare assistance funds are limited and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are two types of childcare applications available for pick up the first day of registration each semester. Stop by our office to discuss which form of childcare assistance best fits your situation.

Students interested in applying for loans must come to the financial aid office to pick up a loan application and a copy of our  loan policy. Loan applications are given once our office has received your FAFSA report.

Entrance counseling is required at the beginning of each loan period. Exit counseling is required at the end of each loan period and when a student withdraws less than half-time (6 credit hours).
