Best-selling author to visit BC Library, discuss writing process
Brazosport College is pleased to welcome “New York Times” best-selling author Maria V. Snyder for a book reading and signing on Monday, Jan. 27. The event, which will be held in the Brazosport College Library, begins at 4 p.m.
A meteorologist turned novelist, Snyder has published 17 novels and numerous short stories. She has been on the “New York Times” best-seller list, won more than a half-dozen awards and earned a degree in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hall University, where she continues to share her knowledge.
During the Jan. 27 event at the BC Library, Snyder will explain the process of how she hooked ideas from the world around her and turned them into novels. She will use two of her books — “Poison Study” and “Navigating the Stars” — to demonstrate the process. She will also read excerpts from both books.
Snyder is currently a teacher and mentor at Seton Hall University.
