BC ramps up on-campus registration efforts with additional dates

In an effort to assist students needing one-on-one, in-person registration help before classes begin Monday, Aug. 24, Brazosport College is scheduling on-campus registration assistance every day this week at The Dow Academic Center at Brazosport College.

These sessions provide an opportunity to get individual assistance with all college enrollment needs. College staff will be available to assist with application, advising and counseling, enrollment, financial aid, payment options, IT help and student services opportunities.

The next on campus registration assistance opportunities at the Dow Academic Center are scheduled for:

• Tuesday, August 18 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
• Tuesday, August 18 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
• Wednesday, August 19 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Thursday, August 20 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Friday, August 21 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Various precautions are in place to ensure the health and safety of all in attendance and an online health screening must be completed via the COVID-19 Health Screening questionnaire before being allowed on campus. The Health Screening questionnaire is located at www.brazosport.edu/screening/.

All students are required to wear face coverings and observe all physical distancing rules, along with other health requirements.

Before coming to register, students are encouraged to have completed an application, which can be found at www.applytexas.org. Students should also bring picture ID, proof of address, copies of transcripts and disability paperwork, if applicable.

Financial Aid specialists will be available on campus to answer questions and check financial aid status. Cashier Office representatives also will be on site to assist with setting up payment plans, paying online or providing other payment options.

Students can also register for Fall classes online — 24 hours a day, seven days a week — through the College’s registration system, MyBC. To begin the online registration process, visit brazosport.edu/choose/.
