KEN WALDMAN & THE WILD ONES

A Ken Waldman and the Wild Ones show is filled with string-band music, poetry, storytelling and more. Ken Waldman, Alaskan poet, storyteller, and fiddler, is a true original. All the way from Anchorage, Ken brings his poems and stories about life in the Alaskan frontier, which are as adventurous and grand as the Alaskan tundra. He will be joined by Houston banjo player Hannah Underwood, a former pre-school music teacher. Expect fun, surprises and first-class, Appalachian-style old-time fiddling.
TOM’S FUN BAND
Wednesday, June 29, 10 a.m. — $5
A Summer Series favorite, Tom’s Fun Band is a group of musicians who have come from very different musical backgrounds to bring fun music to children and families. Tom’s Fun Band was born when Tom Wilbeck decided to start writing children’s music for his twins. Today, Tom’s Fun Band can be seen at festivals, schools, libraries, fundraisers, parties, museums and anywhere positive, family music is needed.
