BC President Dr. Vincent Solis welcomed by college, community

A community reception was recently held for Brazosport College President Dr. Vincent Solis at the Dow Academic Center at Brazosport College. The event was hosted by Brazosport College and the Brazosport College Foundation, in partnership with The Economic Development Alliance for Brazoria County and the Brazosport Area Chamber of Commerce. Brazosport College President Dr. Vincent Solis was recently welcomed by community members, industry leaders, local school district partners and college employees during a reception at the Dow Academic Center at Brazosport College.

The event, which was hosted by Brazosport College and the Brazosport College Foundation, in partnership with The Economic Development Alliance for Brazoria County and the Brazosport Area Chamber of Commerce, served as an opportunity for Dr. Solis to meet and connect with the community.

Dr. Solis spent time greeting and talking with those in attendance and spoke briefly about how he is looking forward to serving the students of Brazosport College. Dr. Solis was introduced by Brazosport College Board of Regents Vice Chair Robert Perryman.

Dr. Solis, who is the fifth president in Brazosport College’s 53-year history, assumed the position on Jan. 4.

Dr. Solis is a life-long educator with almost three decades of service in higher education. He earned a Doctor of Education in Bilingual Education; a Master of Science in Psychology; and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Texas A&M University – Kingsville in Kingsville, TX.
