Fri Jan 28, 2022

Brazosport College will celebrate Black History Month throughout the month of February with a variety of events that celebrate Black Excellence by recognizing living legends and rising stars.

The month begins with a kickoff celebration on Wednesday, Feb. 2 outside the MEGlobal Student Pavilion and will conclude with a Soul Food cooking demonstration with Chef Deedee from the popular Houston cooking class, “Cooking with a Twist.”

Also highlighting the month’s activities are discussions on overcoming obstacles in education and the advantages of attending a Historically Black College, as well as an informative documentary about the history of Soul Food.
