HSM Local Heroes

A group of students in Brazosport College’s Bachelor’s of Applied Technology-Health Services Management program are honoring local essential workers with a Local Heroes Christmas Tree display in the College’s MEGlobal Student Pavilion. The tree features photos and testimonials of 40 different essential workers from a variety of fields throughout the community. Professions include social workers, firefighters, police officers, teachers, retail workers and medical professionals, among many others. The purpose of the display is to not only honor those who have put their health on the line to serve others, but to also highlight community resources, such as job training agencies, food pantries and healthcare services. The display is part of a class project for a group of students in BC Bachelor’s of Applied Technology - Health Services Management program. The students who created the project are, pictured from left, Kasondra Cortez, Lindsey Cason, Rachel Kennedy and Cayla Bernard.
