Brazosport College recently celebrated the members of its Living Legends and Rising Stars Class of 2022 at its Black Excellence Celebration Luncheon at the Dow Academic Center at Brazosport College. The Living Legends and Rising Stars are pictured with Brazosport College President Dr. Vincent Solis. Brazosport College recently celebrated local leaders during its Black Excellence Celebration Luncheon at the Dow Academic Center at Brazosport College.

The luncheon also featured a keynote presentation by University of Houston-Downtown Assistant Dean of Students Branston G. Harris, as well as plenty of socializing and discussion throughout the event.

Others speaking at the luncheon included Brazosport College President Dr. Vincent Solis and Brazosport College Employee Development Center Director Kimberly Milligan.

A large crowd was also on hand to help celebrate the members of the Living Legends and Rising Stars Class of 2022, which included Carolyn Johnson, Pastor Roland Hendricks, Samuel Collins III, Dr. Gregory Dillon, Dr. Tory Hill, Pastor Donnell Johnson, Isaac Johnson, Dale Lemon, Demeatraus Minter, Dr. Yvette Poindexter and Lauren Coffie.

The event was organized by the Brazosport College Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and was part of the College’s Black History Month festivities.
