A graduate of Brazoswood High School, Cordoba earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Texas, as well as a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the South Texas College of Law.

“I’m really looking forward to being a part of the positive momentum that Brazosport College has been in our community, and hopefully bringing some value to the Board,” Cordoba said.

He is actively involved with the Brazoria County Bar Association; State Bar of Texas: Business Law Section; Texas Association of Bank Counsel; Rotary International; Lake Jackson Emergency Medical Service, Inc, Board of Directors; Southwest SIDS Research Institute, Inc., Board of Directors; and Brazoria County Dream Center, Inc., Board of Directors.

Cordoba grew up in Lake Jackson and returned home following law school to begin his law career. He is married to Andrea, who is a teacher with Brazosport ISD, and they have two children, Benjamin and Ava. The family attends Family Life Church in Lake Jackson. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, playing golf, hunting and fishing.

Cordoba takes over for John R. Gilbert, who stepped down from the board after serving the College since 2006.
