Wed Feb 26, 2020

Brazosport College’s Community Education Department is offering a new culinary class that focuses on combining prepared food with fresh ingredients to quickly make delicious menu items everyone will love.

With its Speed Scratch Cooking Class on March 5, participants will learn how to take a convenient, ready-made product like rotisserie chicken, and use it to prepare three different family-friendly meals by adding fresh ingredients. After finishing this class, participants will walk away with easy, healthy cooking recipes.

The class, which is $85, will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 5 and will be held in Community Education’s demonstration kitchen on the Brazosport College campus. Please contact the BC Community Education Department if you will be bringing libations.

The Speed Scratch Cooking Class is the second of three classes in BC Community Education’s new hands-on series of culinary classes, “Let’s Get Cooking.” The final class, “Gourmet Desserts Made Easy,” will be on April 9.

All three classes are taught by professional chef Debbie Warren, who has more than 35 years of experience cooking and entertaining for large groups.
