Canadian Brass

One of the world’s most popular brass ensembles, Canadian Brass, will bring their talents and distinct sound to The Clarion at Brazosport College for a 7:30 p.m. show on March 20.

The hallmark of any Canadian Brass performance is entertainment, spontaneity, virtuosity and fun — but never at the expense of the music. The music is central and performed with utmost dedication, skill and excellence.

Canadian Brass has sold more than two million albums worldwide and has continued scoring Billboard chart positions with recordings of patriotic songs and marches. They play to packed houses throughout the U.S.A., Canada, Japan Europe, Australia, the Middle East, the Soviet Union and South America. They were the first brass ensemble from the West to perform in the People’s Republic of China, as well as the first brass group to take the main stage at the venerable Carnegie Hall.

They have appeared on “The Tonight Show,” “Today” and Entertainment Tonight.” They have appeared as guest artists on “Evening at Pops,” Beverly Sills’ “Music Around the World” and numerous PBS specials, including as appearance on “Sesame Street.” Canadian Brass was the featured artist on the soundtrack to the 1988 film, “The Couch Trip.”

This will the second time that Canadian Brass has performed at the Clarion. The quintet was last in Lake Jackson in 2015.

Tickets for the show are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and Brazosport College employees, and $10 for students and children.
