Paul Shaffer w/Brazosport Jazz Orchestra

For 33 years Paul Shaffer served as David Letterman's musical director and sidekick. Paul began his career in 1972 as musical director of the Toronto production of "Godspell." He played piano in "The Magic Show" on Broadway in 1974, and then spent the next five years with the original "Saturday Night Live," where he played keyboards, composed special musical material and, in 1980, became a featured performer. He recently performed with the Kalamazoo Symphony and the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra, and has upcoming appearances with the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Winnipeg symphonies. His new series of prime-time radio specials, “Paul Shaffer + 1” is airing on SiriusXM, and will be premiering this fall on AXS TV. Paul Shaffer performs as the special guest artist with the Brazosport Jazz Orchestra. Sponsored in part by Freeport LNG.

Ken Waldman & The Wild Ones show is filled with string-band music, poetry, storytelling and more. Ken Waldman, Alaskan poet, storyteller, and fiddler is a true original. All the way from Anchorage, Ken brings to Texas his poems and stories about life in the Alaskan frontier, which are as adventurous and grand as the Alaskan tundra. Ken will be joined by Houston banjo player Hannah Underwood, a former pre-school music teacher. Expect fun, surprises, and first-class Appalachian-style old-time fiddling.
