Planned Giving
Wondering how to include Brazosport College in your will?
You may make the Brazosport College Foundation a beneficiary of your estate through a bequest in your will. This type of gift enables you to help others during and beyond your lifetime. Gifts can be designated to support specific programs or departments at the college as well as scholarships.
Planned gifts can be structured in a variety of ways depending on the donor's particular situation, financial goals, and philanthropic objectives. It is r ecommended you consult with your financial advisors and/or legal counsel to establish a planned gift that best suits your objectives.
Important Charitable IRA Rollover Information
A tax code amendment at the end of 2015 permanently extended the IRA charitable rollover. This means that donors age 70 1/2 or older can make tax-free charitable gifts of up to $100,000 per year directly from their Individual Retirement Accounts to eligible charities including the Brazosport College Foundation. You will not pay federal taxes on the transfer and it qualifies to be counted in your required minimum distribution.
