COVID-19 Update for Employees: March 23
Mon Mar 23, 2020 at 03:21 PM
Welcome to the second first day of classes! Thank you for the continued hard work that is being put in across the College to ensure our students are able to complete their semester. Please review today’s updates and continue to check the Coronavirus webpage for the latest college updates.
- Brazosport College’s 2020 May Commencement has been postponed. Once a new date is set, further details will be provided.
- Our BC culture will empower us to get through this crisis and emerge an even stronger and more vibrant College. A reminder that the BC Board of Regents met in special session on 3/16 to provide the needed authorization allowing the College to continue to pay our employees (including Student Assistants) and take necessary steps to alter our operations in a way that is safe for both students and employees.
- During college closures, critical events, and crisis situations, please only reshare official college updates to avoid mixed messaging and confusion. When sharing College related content on social media please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Remember that we have a dedicated team tasked with communicating and responding to inquiries or criticism online. Our official College social media admins are responsible for engaging through our pages. To avoid confusion, we ask that you not attempt to respond to inquiries or comments directed specifically to the College or asking for an official College response.
- We also ask that you not represent yourself as an official College spokesperson, unless given expressed written consent from your supervisor and the director of marketing. If you do see an instance needing an official College response, please contact the College’s marketing department.
