Thu May 27, 2021 at 11:00 PM

Per the Texas Department of State Health Services, as of Monday, March 29, 2021, anyone over 16 years of age is eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Texas.  The COVID-19 vaccine adds one more layer of protection for our students, staff, faculty and community and helps give us the best chance of getting “back to normal” sooner. Local COVID-19 vaccine appointment information can be found at

Please note, for the Pfizer vaccine, recipients must be 12 years of age or older. For the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines, recipients must be 18 years of age or older.

We care about the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff. Brazosport College continues to take certain measures to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

  • The Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines regarding the wearing of masks recently changed. Additionally, Governor Abbott issued a new executive order on May 18, 2021.  As a result of these changes, you are no longer required to wear a mask on the Brazosport College campus. If you wish to continue to wear a mask, please do so.
  • Brazosport College’s online health screening process will continue through May 31, 2021. All employees, students, and visitors who come to campus need to fill out the questionnaire each day before coming to the Brazosport College campus.  The COVID-19 Health Screening questionnaire can be accessed in English or Spanish by visiting
  • Effective June 1, 2021, daily online health screenings are no longer required; however, individuals should perform a self-health check prior to coming to campus and stay home if sick.
  • We will continue to follow guidance from the CDC and our state and local health departments,  so it's vital that you check your Brazosport College email for updates before heading to campus.
  • COVID-19 vaccines are effective at protecting you from getting sick. Local COVID-19 vaccine appointment information can be found at

Please continue following the CDC guidelines for prevention of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, which includes, but not limited to, thorough hand washing, social distancing, and receiving COVID-19 vaccinations.

For individuals needing to self-identify as affected by COVID-19 or notify Brazosport College of COVID-19 incidents involving students, faculty, or staff, please visit

Please note, the COVID-19 Contact/Exposure Report Form is separate and apart from the Health Screening Questionnaire.  The COVID-19 Contact/Exposure Form should be completed if you have been exposed to someone or if you have tested positive for COVID-19.
