COVID19 Update for Employees: March 17

- Classes WILL resume on Monday, March 23, unless circumstances change. Most classes will be online. Hands-on labs will be modified to ensure social distancing and enhanced hygiene. More information will be sent later this week.
- Please remember to continue filling out the Remote Work Activity Log and submit these to your supervisor on a daily basis.
- During its Emergency Special Meeting on Monday, March 16 the Brazosport College Board of Regents approved:
- That the College has authority to pay its full-time employees and part-time employees if the College has to close due to the COVID-19 virus emergency or has to ask certain employees not to report to work, unless any of that work time is scheduled to be made up.
- The Board also authorized the College to revise and publish a new academic schedule with a new withdrawal deadline for the spring 2020 term, and if necessary, the summer 2020 terms, in accordance with the guidance and approval of the DOE, SACSCOC, and THECB.
- With adjusted work schedules and workloads, all employees are encouraged to complete their SafeColleges Online Training for HR.
- Following the CDC’s guidance for mass gatherings or large community events, all college and community events, to be held on campus, scheduled through April 30 have been canceled or rescheduled.
