What is the TSIA2 Assessment?
The Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (“TSIA2”), a redesign of the original Texas Success Initiative Assessment (“TSIA1”), is part of the Texas Success Initiative enacted by the Texas State Legislature and was designed to assess test takers’ readiness for college-level coursework in the general areas of English language arts and reading (ELAR) and mathematics.
All new degree-seeking students are required to take the Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2). The purpose of the exam is to assess your academic ability in order to identify the best course sequence for you.
Your TSIA2 exam scores will determine your entry-level for the subjects of reading, writing, and math.
