About Intramural Sports

The Intramural Sports program serves the students of Brazosport College by providing opportunities to participate in various individual and team recreational activities, regardless of performance abilities. Intramural events include open gym times, tournaments, and trips to compete in the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate Consortium intramural events.

Gulf Coast Intercollegiate Consortium (GCIC) Sports Day

GCIC Sports Day is an opportunity to compete against other Houston area community college students in various recreational intramural sports. Participants from Brazosport College will receive free transportation to the event, lunch, and a t-shirt.

BC Gym

The BC Gym is available for use during open gym hours. Students can request to use the gym anytime by visiting the Fitness Loft and checking in with Fitness Loft Student Assistants. (Use of the gym outside of Open Gym hours is based on staffing availability and other gym reservations that take priority.) Present your current valid ID during Open Gym hours or in the Fitness Loft during off hours to play basketball, soccer, volleyball, and flag football.

  1. All students, faculty, and staff participating in Intramural Sports or using the Fitness Loft must present current valid Brazosport College ID.
  2. Shoes and clothing must be must be worn at all times and appropriate for participation.
  3. Good Character and Sportsmanship, in keeping with Intramural Training must be demonstrated at all times.
  4. All equipment is to be used as intended and returned when finished.
  5. Horseplay, profane or vulgar language or music, and excessive trash talking are not acceptable.
  6. Place trash in designated receptacles.
  7. The use of tobacco products is not allowed in the Gym or Fitness Loft.
  8. We are not responsible for items left in the Gym or Fitness Loft.
