Applying for Scholarships
Scholarships are gifts meaning they don't need to be repaid and many are not based on income. They can be offered by individuals, companies, nonprofits, communities, religious groups, professional and social organizations, and more.
Students Awarded Scholarships
If you are awarded a scholarship, you can use the Scholarship Response Form to submit a thank you acknowledgement to your donor.

The General Scholarship Application
The Financial Aid & Scholarships Office manages a variety of scholarships funded by the college and donors who support BC.
Remember that you must resubmit the General Scholarship Application every year, regardless of whether you're a new or continuing student. You must also maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA to be eligible for scholarships.
We highly recommend that you fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) first, as some scholarships may list the FAFSA as a requirement.

2023 Graduating Seniors Scholarships
Scholarships are available for 2023 Graduating Seniors needing funds to help pay for college.
The 2023 Graduating Senior scholarship applications are due by May 27, 2023. After that date, please fill out the general scholarship application.
To apply, complete and submit the 2023 Graduating Seniors Scholarships Application to the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office.
Textbook Scholarships
Textbook Scholarships are available for students needing funds to help purchase classroom books in the Brazosport College bookstore.
Complete the Textbook Scholarship Application online.
Childcare Assistance
Students demonstrating financial need after completing the FAFSA and are pursuing a certificate or degree at Brazosport College are eligible to apply for assistance in paying for childcare while attending college classes.
Childcare assistance funds are limited and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Test Fee Scholarships
Test Fee Scholarships are available in a limited amount for students needing funds to help pay for Test fees. You must have a test date set up in order to be eligible to receive assistance with the fees. This scholarship will only cover the testing fee one time. Repeats will not be paid for.
To apply, complete and submit the Test Fee Scholarship Application to the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office.
